1. Ricco Groß (born 22 August 1970) is a former German biathlete whose exploits made him one of the most successful biathletes of all time at the Winter Olympics and the World Championships. He is a four-time Olympic Champion, nine-time World Champion.

2. Sven Fischer (born 16 April 1971) is an outstanding German biathlete. Four-time Olympic Champion and seven-time World Champion.

3. Halvard Hanevold (born 3 December 1969) is a former Norwegian biathlete, three-time Olympic Champion, five-time World Champion.

4. Juri Kashkarov (born 4 December 1963) is a former Soviet biathlete, Olympic Champion of 1984, five-time World Champion.

5. Alexandr Popov (born 22 February 1965) is a Belarussian biathlete who competed for the USSR, the Unified Team and Belarus. Olympic Champion of 1988 in relay, silver medalist of Olympic Games of 1992 in relay. World Champion of 1995 in relay.

6. Frode Andresen (born 9 September 1973) is a former Norwegian biathlete and cross-country skier, Olympic Champion in relay, two-time World Champion in biathlon.

7. Christoph Sumann (19 January 1976) is a former Austrian biathlete. Two-time Vice-champion of the Olympic Winter Games 2010, two-time Vice-champion of World Cup 2009, two-time bronze medalist at World Championships 2005 and 2011.

8. Sergei Tarasov (born 15 February 1965) is a former Russian biathlete. In the 1990s, he was one of the dominating biathletes, winning four Olympic medals and seven World Championship medals over the course of his career.

9. Nikolay Kruglov (born 8 April 1981) is a former Russian biathlete. He is a two-time World Champion in the men's relay and a two-time World Champion in mixed relay. Also he won silver medals at the 2005 World Championships and the 2006 Olympics.

10. Ilmā rs Bricis (born 9 July 1970) is former Latvian biathlete, he is the 4th biathlete to compete at six Winter Olympics (from 1992 to 2010). He has won bronze medals in 20 km race at the 2001 World Championship and in 10 km sprint at the 2005 World Championship.

11. Andriy Deryzemlya (born 18 August 1977) is a former Ukrainian biathlete, two-time bronze medalists of World Championships, gold medalist of the World Cup 2002-2003 in mass-start.

12. Sergey Novikov (born 27 April 1979) is a retired Belarusian biathlete. He competed at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Olympics in four-five events at each Games: 10 km sprint, 12.5 km pursuit, 15 km mass start, 20 km race and 4 × 7.5 km relay. He won a silver medal, shared with Ole Einar Bjø rndalen, in the 20 km individual race in 2010. Silver medalist of World Championship 2008 in the mixed relay.

13. Alexei Aidarov (born 15 November 1974) is a Russian-born former Belarusian (until 2006) and Ukrainian (since 2007) biathlete. Bronze medalist of Olympic Games of 1998 in individual race. World Champion of 1999 in relay, Vice-Champion of 2001 in relay and two-time bronze medalist of World Championships 1996 and 2003 in relay.

14. Kati Wilhelm (born 2 August 1976) is a German former professional biathlete. During the Olympic Games in 2002, she was the most decorated female biathlete, winning gold medals in sprint and relay. She also won a silver medal in the 10 km pursuit. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, after winning her third Olympic gold medal in the 10 km pursuit as well as silver in the mass start and with the German relay, she became the best female biathlete at the Olympics ever. Moreover, she dominated the 2005-06 World Cup season, winning six races and the overall World Cup trophy. She was elected " biathlete of the year 2006" as well as " German sportswoman of the year 2006". In total she has 21 IBU Biathlon World Cup wins.

15. Anna Bogaliy (born June 12, 1979) is a retired Russian biathlete. She has had eleven podium finishes, three in first place, four in second, and has come third four times. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, Bogaliy-Titovets won gold on the 4 × 6 km relay. At the World Championships she won three gold medals in relays, including a recent title in mixed relay in Holmenkollen.

16. Olga Zaitseva (born 16 May 1978) is a former Russian biathlete. She is a two-time Olympic Champion in relay (2006 and 2010), silver medalist of Olympics 2010 in mass-start and 2014 in relay; triple World Champion (2005 and 2009); five-time medalist of the World Championships 2005 and 2009.

17. Marie-Laure Brunet (born 20 November 1988) is a retired French biathlete and Olympic athlete who won a bronze medal in the women's pursuit and silver in relay at the 2010 Winter Olympics Games in Vancouver. World Champion of 2009 in relay, three-time bronze and five-time silver medalist of the World Championships 2008-2013.

18. Sandrine Bailly (born 25 November 1979) is a former French biathlete. She was most successful in the 2004–05 season, when she could win the overall World Cup, and in the 2007–08 season, when she finished second. In 2003, she became world champion in the 10 km pursuit. She is a bronze medalist of Olympics 2006 and silver medalist of Olympics 2010 (both in relay).

19. Corinne Niogret (born 20 November 1972) is a former French biathlete. She won 2 Olympic medals and 15 medals in the Biathlon World Championships. In 1999/2000 she finished 3rd in the overall World Cup, and she has a total of 8 victories in World Cup races.

20. Ekaterina Dafovska (born 28 November 1975) is a famous Bulgarian biathlete, Olympic Champion of 1998 in individual race, World Сhampionships’ bronze medalist of 1995 and 1997.

21. Anna Carin Zidek (né e Olofsson, born 1 April 1973) is a Swedish cross-country skier and former biathlete who won a silver medal in the 7.5 km sprint and a gold medal in the 12.5 km mass-start event at the 2006 Winter Olympics.

22. Florence Baverel (born on 24 May 1974), is a retired French biathlete who won the gold medal in the women's 7.5 km sprint and the bronze medal in the relay at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. She won 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals of World Championships from 1995 till 2007.

23. Sylvie Becaert (born 6 September 1975) is a French biathlete. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, she won a bronze medal and at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver – a silver medal with the French relay team. She is a World Champion 2003 in the sprint race and 2009 in mixed relay

24. Liv Grete Skjelbreid Poiré e (born 7 July 1974) – former Norwegian biathlete. She won three Olympic medals and the overall World Cup in 2003/04 season. Winning three champion titles in 2000 and 2001, at the 2004 World Championship in Oberhof she became the first ever female biathlete who won four gold medals of the same Championships.

25. Martina " Molly" Beck (born Martina Glagow, 21 September 1979), is a retired German biathlete who was most successful in the 2002–03 season, when she was the first German to win the women's overall Biathlon World Cup. She is also a three-time world champion, three-time Olympic silver medalist, five-time silver medalist and four-time bronze medalist of World Championships from 2001 to 2009.

26. Simone Hauswald (born Simone Hye-Soon Denkinger, May 3, 1979, in Rottweil) is a former German biathlete and Winter Olympics bronze medalist, World Champion in mixed relay.

27. Olena Zubrilova (born February 25, 1973) is a Ukrainian born biathlete who has been competing for Belarus since 2002. Prior to that, she had competed for the Ukraine from 1991 until she changed her citizenship to Belarus in 2002. She has 17 medals of World Championships.

28. Olena Petrova (formerly Elena Petrova) (born September 24, 1972) is a former Ukrainian biathlete. She is a Merited Master of Sports of Ukraine and a former member of Dynamo (Ukraine).She is the silver medalist of the Olympics 1998 in the individual race, four-time silver and six-time bronze medalist of World Championships from 1996 to 2004.

29. Kathrin Cornelia Lang (né e Hitzer; born 3 September 1986) is a former German biathlete. In her career, Lang won two World Cup races, the pursuit and the mass start in Khanty-Mansiysk in 2008.
