Contents This Test Project proposal consists of the following documentation/files: WSC2013_TP27_actual_EN.doc WSC2013_TP27_actual_EN_01.pdf (pdf version of drawing 01) Introduction This Test Project consists of four modules to be handed over for evaluation on days C1, C2, C3 and C4. Module 4 also consists of the final assembly of a complete piece of jewellery using all components from the previous Modules and an additional component (4 claw setting) as shown in the design. Description of project and tasks Day 1: Before the beginning of Module 1 the competitor will be given the permitted metal (solders included) for all four exercises, for examination. · On Day 1, the competitor will make module 1 which consists of a domed/formed kite shape made in sheet metal with a gallery wire and includes a pierced out motif with central chenier/tube setting. · At the end of the allotted time for Module 1 he/she must hand over the completed or uncompleted jewellery component (for marking).Competitors are permitted to start work on remaining modules. At the end of Day 1 he/she must hand over all completed or uncompleted jewellery components and all remaining metal (for storage). Day 2: Before the beginning of Day 2, the competitor will be given the metal remaining from Day 1. · On Day 2, the competitor will make module 2 consisting of an elliptical curved/formed top with gallery and rub over pear shaped setting. There are eight round stone holes all with tapered square ajour/backholes. · At the end of the allotted time for Module 2 he/she must hand over the completed or uncompleted jewellery component (for marking). Competitors are permitted to start work on remaining modules. At the end of Day 2 he/she must hand over all completed or uncompleted jewellery components and all remaining metal (for storage). Day 3: Before the beginning of Day 3, the competitor will be given the metal remaining from Day 2. · At the beginning of Day 3, the competitor will work on module 3 consisting of a curved heart shape with 0.6mm round edging wire on inner and outer under edges and 6 holes for baguette stones and 2 for tapered baguettes. · At the end of the allotted time for Module 3 he/she must hand over the completed or uncompleted jewellery component (for marking). Competitors are permitted to start work on remaining modules. At the end of Day 3 he/she must hand over all completed or uncompleted jewellery components and all remaining metal (for storage).
Day 4: Before the beginning of Day 4, the competitor will be given the metal remaining from Day 3, and the completed or uncompleted jewellery components for Modules 1, 2, and 3. · At the beginning of Day 4, the competitor may begin work on Module 4 (final assembly) and incudes constructing a 4 claw round wire setting to be included in the assembly · At the end of Day 4 he/she must hand over the completed or uncompleted jewellery piece of Module 4(for marking) and all remaining metal and filings.
