1. Работая в малых группах, рассмотрите влияние законодательства на развитие служб психического здоровья, борьбы с зависимостью от психоактивных веществ и реабилитационных служб. Поделитесь вашей информацией с группой в целом.

2. Посетите открытое собрание общества «Анонимных алкоголиков» или расспросите консультанта по работе с зависимостью от психоактивных веществ о его каждодневной работе. Расскажите сокурсникам о том, что вы узнали во время посещения собрания или беседы с консультантом.

3. Вместе с однокурсниками, обсудите, какие социальные потребности, по вашему мнению, будут наиболее актуальными в следующем десятилетии. Опишите, как профессии реабилитационного консультирования, консультирования в области душевного здоровья и по вопросам зависимости от психоактивных веществ могут помочь облегчить эти проблемы. Попробуйте переформулировать ваши идеи применительно к определенным условиям, в которых вы надеетесь работать.

4. Хан и Кросс (Khan & Cross, 1984) выявили сходства и различия в системах ценностей, разделяемых тремя профессиональными группами работников сферы психического здоровья: психиатрами, психологами и социальными работниками.
