Action3.1.1 Youth Exchange Project

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE EXCHANGE?

In this project our main aim is to gather young people especially from disadvantaged backgrounds and make them more conscious about importance sense of social assistance and solidarity. And also to motivate them to explore, exchange information, and learn from others. They will improve their abilities to work autonomously and in settings they organize themselves; and they show greater self-confidence and motivation to learn. Team work among teachers and pupils from different countries within a partnership also will give a unique opportunity to experience the European dimension. This project promote European cooperation between groups from different European countries. They will have an opportunity to explore one another’s countries, cultures, and ways of thinking and living, and to understand and appreciate them better. They will considerably improve their knowledge about living and social life in partner countries, and also learn to show tolerance towards other cultures and people from other countries. In this way we will reinforce creativity and innovation.

The specific objectives;

- to promote social assistance and solidarity among young people

- to find and help inside and outside each participating country a group of young people who need help (young people with educational or behavioral problems, pupils from poor social background, minorities, immigrants, special educational need students etc)

- to find people or a group of people (pupils, teachers, institution, local authorities, local firms, self employed people, the wider educational communities etc.) who can help to young people mentioned above for not only this two years project but for longer time and cooperate with these partners also in the future.

- to involve young people with special educational needs

The project will be implemented in city of Sivas by the participation of 30 young people from 6 different countries. Using non formal methods, young people will share their cultures and will have the opportunity to know each other. Apart from their active participation young people will make a contribution to their self development.

COSTS

Organizer covers the following costs:

maximum 70% of the travel costs of foreign participants, according to the conditions described in the attachment.

Participants cover the following costs:

The rest (30%) of your travel costs from your living place to the program venue.

CONDITIONS OF REIMBURSEMENT

By the Turkish book keeping law and the funding rules of the grant program we must keep certain administrative procedures. We are asking for your support and cooperation in keeping these rules.
