The second international summer literary festival

Festival dates:

The 1^st part of festival is on 24^th-27^th of July, 2014 in village Kondoberezhskaya, Zaonezhje, the Republic of Karelia;

The second part of festival is on 28^th-30^th of July, 2014 in Belomorje. The Belomorsk petroglyphs, the Kuzova Islands, the Solovetsky Islands.

Festival purpose: popularization of historical & cultural potential of the regions of Karelia.

Festival objectives:

· To attract attention to the theme of the North heritage: culture, history, literature, art, natural resources;

· To develop intellectual & spiritual tourism and ecological tourism in Karelia;

· To further establish and develop contacts with different creative unions of Russia and foreign countries (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway and France).

Basic educational activities:

- writing contest (stories and poems about the North);

- master class of a writer Mariusz Wilk;

- master class of a writer, essayist and traveller Vasiliy Golovanov;

- writing workshop with a poet Anna Matasova;

- writing workshop with a writer Irina Mamaeva;

- writing workshop with a writer and script writer Elena Usacheva;

- writing workshop with a writer Nick Romanetsky;

- writing workshop with a writer Svetlana Vasilijeva;

- master class of a writer Dmitry Skirjuk.

Basic cultural activities: Foimogubskaya picture-gallery and museum, Velikaya Guba folklore group performance in the traditional Karelian house, tasting cuisine of Zaonezhje (pies with fish, pies with berries, Karelian pies), museum Kizhi, chapels of Zaonezhje, holly springs, mineral shungite deposit.

Festival price:

The price includes transportation, accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours in Zaonezhje, education program, festival materials and souvenirs.
