Youth exchange ‘Ecological Orientation of Young People: Five Elements’

Date: Arrive on Sat 12th October before 18.00 and depart on Fri 18th October 2013 in the morning.

This youth exchange is an opportunity to find out more about Youth work, eco-friendly lifestyle, learn about partnership with Belarusian organisations, and opportunity available.

 

There will be participants attending from the Belarus, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Turkey, Ukraine and Armenia, so it is a good opportunity to meet other people who are working in the same area or establish new contacts.

 

All food and accommodation will be covered. Travel expenses will be covered by 70%.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Project's Description

 

Youth Exchange aims at sharing experience among affluent and non-EU countries in the sphere of sufficient usage of power and water resources and decrease of household waste formation.

 

The main goal is popularization of ecologically friendly way of life and principles of ecologically sustainable development through personal examples and practical actions.

 

The idea is to show that “ecologically friendly” stays far away from “unattainable” and to show youth people that observation of even simple actions in everyday life helps to recover the Planet’s resources.

 

The youth exchange will take place at 12-18th October 2013 in Minsk (Belarus) and will bring together 30 young people, interested in ecology and being eco-friendly, both from EU countries (Czech Republic, UK, Turkey) and Eastern Europe countries (Belarus, Armenia, Ukraine).

 

The main idea and aim of the youth exchange is to understand, discuss, share opinion and experience and find out methods and create new ones of being eco-friendly in daily life. During the youth exchange will be used non-formal methods such as outdoor activities, debates, discussions, sharing experience, creative sessions, YiA possibilities, innovative presentations, team-building activities, energizers, ice-breakers, " getting to know each other" tools, brainstorms, individual/pair/group work, inspirational visit, feedback and reflection sessions. Group work to engage participants offering the opportunity to obtain a possible upgrade of their abilities and knowledge, share experiences, and therefore contribute for creating new methods.
