About Myself

Let me introduce myself. My full name is Elena Pikulik. Now I'm seventeen. I was born on the seventh of November, 1980. I was born in Belarus and I have been living in Minsk for all my life. I live with my parents in a three-room flat on the ninth floor of a nine-storeyed block of flats. Now I am a pupil of a secondary school. The number of my school is 153. I finished school 2 years ago. Now I’m a student of the Higher State College of Communication.

Now it's time to say some words about my family. It isn't too big or too small. We are four in the family: my farther, my mother, my brother and me. My farther, Eduard Nikolayevich, is the director of his own firm. He is 44, tall, with black hair and rather handsome to my mind. My mother, Svetlana Anatolyevna, is a housewife. She is 44 too but she doesn't look her age. My brother's name is Sergey. He is 24. He has his own family and doesn't live with us.

I'd like my future profession to be connected with foreign languages and computers. Computer takes a lot of time. Now I can do a lot using it, but best of all I like computer graphics and designing. I also like to go in for sports. Sometimes I go to swimming pool, to a tennis courts, but it depends on my mood, weather and company. I have not too many friends but they are faithful people and all of them are close to me. As for computer, I can say that English is just necessary for working with it. Of course special English is used but I think it's impossible to study only technical language. So, my aim is to joint studying English and working with computer.I can say that it’s pleasant to feel that somebody needs your knowledge and help. Just there are some questions that I can solve rather quickly. But computer is just my " serious hobby", that is useful for me.

So you can see that my biography is not very long because I'm rather young yet. And now is a hectic time for me, but I'll try to work hard and to achieve all I want.

My Family

Our family is not very large. I have a father, a mother, abrother and a sister. We all live together in a new flat in Minsk.

My father Igor Ivanovich is 45 years old. He is a tall and well-built man with short black hair and grey eyes. He works at a big plant as an engineer. He likes his work and spends most of his time there. By char­acter my father is a quiet man, while my mother is ener­getic and talkative. Her name is Olga Petrovna. She is a teacher of music and plays the piano well. She is intelli­gent, patient and always ready to help. I've got good rela­tions with my parents. They are always interested in what I do, and I can always ask them for advice.

My sister's name is Alia. She has blue eyes and lovely fair hair. She is a very good-looking girl. Alia is three years younger than me. She is a pupil of the 9^th form. She does well at school and gets only good and excellent marks. Alia has a good sense of humour and is very popular with her friends at parties.

My name is Tanya. I'm 17 years old. People say I'm an easy-going person. I have many friends. They come to my place very often.

Our family is very united. We like to spend time to­gether and help our mother about the house. In the eve­nings we watch TV, read books and newspapers, listen to music or just discuss everyday problems. All of us like to spend our week-ends out of town. We often go to the village to see our grandpa­rents.

I also have some other relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. We are happy when we are together. It is really very important to have a good family where all people are tactful, helpful, tolerant and respect each other. It’s nice to have a good family.

To my mind we are a united family, we share our joys and sorrows, our happiness and misfortunes.
