Infrastructure Architect (Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

o Oversee and manage infrastructure (hardware, networks, software environments) in the group’s distributed environment.

o Propose and implement infrastructure solutions in line with the group IT strategy.

o Ensure that the company's IT infrastructure is able to cope with the business expansion.

o Evangelise and incorporate cutting edge technologies into the group’s infrastructure to improve performance.

Requirements:

o Well versed in Open Source methodologies and technologies.

o Experienced in Datacenter environment and acquaintance with virtualisation, clustering, data security is essential.

o Working knowledge of data replication methodologies is a must. DRP implementation will be highly preferred.

o Experience in managing access control using active directory and open LDAP.

o Knowledge in computer and network security.

o Hands-on knowledge in designing, implementing and supporting systems in Unix, BSD and Linux as well as Windows Server environment.

o Experience with thin client systems will be advantageous.

o CCNA, Microsoft and Linux Certification will be an added advantage.

o He/she is expected to be a hands-on, resourceful and organised person.

o Excellent communication skills in English are a must.
