Meet Vera

My name is Vera Postnova. I am 17. I was born on the 5^th of October 1993 in Ulan-Ude. And I still live in this beautiful city with my parents and my grandfather.

My family is not very large. There are six members in our family. My father’s name is Alexandr Ivanovich. He is forty eight years old. He is an engineer at the Locomotive repair plant. My mother’s name is Tatiana Borisovna. She is forty five. She is an accountant. She works for a trading company. There are three children in the family: my elder brother Ivan, junior sister Lena and me. Ivan is twenty one. He is a student. He studies at the Medical Department of Buryat State University. My sister Lena is fourteen. She is a pupil. She is in the eighth form. My grandfather, Ivan Petrovich, lives with us. He doesn’t work. He is a pensioner. I love my family.

I have two aunts and one uncle. Their children are my cousins.

We live in a house in the suburbs of Ulan-Ude. The house is very nice. There are my grandfather, father, brother and other relatives who built it. We have been living here for 3 years, before we had lived in a flat in an apartment building. There are all modern conveniences that we can enjoy in our house: running water, electricity, telephone, cable TV and speed Internet.

I have my duties about the house: shopping, tidying up and cooking. It’s not difficult for me. I like our home to be clean and tidy. In fact, Lena usually helps me, and she is very neat and keeps order in everything. She likes cooking and spends much time making our home cosy.

I am a student at the College of Buryat State University. I am a future manager. I have chosen management as my future profession, because I like to communicate with people. I do well in all subjects, but most of all I like such subjects as Psychology, Human Resource Management, Theory of Management. I spend much time on it. I like reading and prefer mostly psychological detectives.

I have many friends. Many of them are my former classmates and groupmates. We spend much time together going for a walk, talking about lessons or music, discussing movies or TV programmes.
