Application and Dosage
1. Use within framework of “National Schedule of Prophylactic injections” approved by Ministry of Health, Russian Federation, Order № 229 dt. 27/06/2007 2. Single vaccination in case of girls not vaccinated earlier and who have not suffered from Rubella, on the age of 13 or girls who have received only one injection. 3. Single vaccination of girls and non-pregnant woman of child bearing age who have not been vaccinated or not suffered from Rubella, for prophylaxes against congenital Rubella of the fetus. Single vaccination of youth and men as per epidemiological indications in limited population groups. The vaccine should be reconstituted only with the diluent supplied (Sterile Water for injection) using a sterile syringe and needle with gentle Shaking. The time for reconstitution of vaccine is a clear yellowish white liquid. It is recommended to use vaccine immediately after reconstitution. The reconstituted vaccine in multidose packing may be stored in dark at temperature of 2-8º C for no longer than 8 hours. A single dose (0.5 ml) should be administered by deep subcutaneous injection in the upper over region. Reactions: Short duration hyperemia, edema and swelling accompanied by malaise may develop at the site of injection.
Side effects Short duration increase in temperature to subgebrile, higher temperature in individual vaccines, cough, rhinitis, malaise, headache. -Nausea -hymphadenopathy (Enlargement primarily of occipital and cervical lymphnodes). Arethralgia on arthritis and in rare cases polyneuritis may be observed in vaccines of post-pubertal age. All these reactions are characterized by a short duration are self liming. Contraindications: 1. Pregnancy. 2. Acute infections and non infections diseases, aggravation of chronic diseases vaccination should be carried out not earlier than one month after recovery. 3. Immunodeficient states: malignant blood and regeneration diseases. In case of treatment by immunosuppressive drugs and radiotherapy the vaccination is carried out 12 months after the completion of treatment. 4. Severe reaction (increase in temperature above 40º C, edema, hyperemia 18 cm in diameter at the site of infection) or complication to or previous dose of vaccine. Note: HIV infected children may be immunized with Rubella Vaccine. Warning: administration of vaccine During pregnancy is prohibited. It is necessary to take precautionary measures to avoid conception for a period of 2 month after vaccination.
