Translate sentence- adverbs in the following text.
As a rule, in the banking business, we like to say ’yes’ to customers who come to us for credit. For the most part, they are just individuals or businesses trying to make an honest living, though there are exceptions to the rule, of course. And I’m glad to say that , in the main, we are able to help them. We advise tem to come to us with a proposal on paper, so that we can look at it and see if can accept it in principle – because the bank’s policy is clear on the types of lending it can and can’t do. We also look into the background of the customer . For example, we don’t lend, in general, to people who have a bad credit record, and in particular to those with a history of changing banks – always a bad sign. Anyway, if the customer’s background is OK, we first look at the proposal in theory and then look at how it is likely to work in practice. And, in the normal course we are able to help in some way. And, on the whole, our customers repay their loans. Those who do not are the exceptions that prove the rule. The really bad customers? Well, as I’ve said, we try to check people’s credit history, so nine times out of we prevent these kind of people (bad risks’ we call them) becoming customers in the first place. I think the expression, ”prudence pays”, holds good generally – and banking is certainl y no exception. 16.
