George: Hey Adam. What are you going to buy your wife for Christmas this year? I know she is a shopaholic and probably has everything she needs already.

Adam: You are right about that. She has everything she needs. I can’t just give her nothing for Christmas, so I may need to hit the outlet mall out in Round Rock to shop around. Want to come?

George: No way. I’d rather get shot in the leg than go shopping. The last time I went shopping for clothes was with my wife last year. It was a tax free weekend and everyone and their brother was out bargain hunting. I was miserable.

Adam: If you refuse to go to stores how do you get gifts for your family?

George: Gift cards my friend. I order them online. I won’t step into one store this holiday season.

Adam: What if you get a gift that you don’t like this Christmas? Would you go to a store to return it or exchange it for something better?

George: No. I’d prefer wearing ugly shirts to fighting the crowds in the mall. I even got my parents some gifts online. I had some store credit at Macy’s and I bought them some clothes. Since my mom is getting pretty fat in her old age, I got her a moo moo dress. For my dad I got him some business casual type clothes. He is the only one in his office that still wears a suit and tie. It is time for him to keep up with the times.

Adam: You don’t seem to have that problem. I’ve seen what you wear to work. The other day you had boot cut jeans, cowboy boots and a T shirt on. I don’t know how you get away with that at work. I don’t dress up too much, but I wear nice pleated khaki pants with a dress shirt.

George: That’s just how it is in my office. We are even more casual than your business casual office. If it makes you feel any better, I've been having some trouble finding jeans. It is hard to find plus sizes online. My mom is not the only one who has put on some weight. I have to wear extra extra large now. Maybe I should slow down with the doughnuts!

Adam: Ha. That would be a good idea my portly friend. I need to go. I refuse to pay retail for any clothing, so I need to hit some of those outlet stores before all the good stuff is gone.

George: Ok buddy. Good luck.

Adam: Thanks, I’m going to need it. As you know, my wife is going to have a baby in a few months so I will have to do some shopping in the maternity section. Pregnant women can get aggressive there.

George: OK. Text me if you run into any trouble. Adam: I will.

Every year my wife and her friends take an annual shopping trip. They usually pick a town with a large ______________so they can visit a lot of different stores in one location. Last year they went to North Conway, NH and this year they will check out San Marcos, TX. The women like to go after the holidays since they all receive a lot of _________ for Christmas.

The holidays are coming up so my wife is getting excited about going. I guess you could say that she is a bit if a _____________. It makes her happy, so I am fine with it. She doesn’t spend too much money. Instead of just buying anything she wants, she will go _____________. That is part of the fun, she tells me. This year she has promised to get me some clothes for work. My office is_______________, so she doesn’t have to worry about getting me nice ties and shirts. I did ask her to get me some new khakis. I recently got some cowboy boots, so I told her to make sure the pants were ____________. If you try to wear ____________ pants with boots they don't fit.

I’m sure my wife will find plenty of stuff for herself. She is small, so she wears ____________. Being that she is really into fashion, I’m sure that she will get some nice _________too. It is pretty rare that she will pass up a nice necklace or a bracelet. The whole shopping trip is usually a success. The only problem she has ever run into on these outings is that she can’t _________any of the clothes when she gets home. The stores are too far away. Other than that the trips always go well. I’m sure this year will be the same.
