Mark 3.

I spend last part of the day smoking the fish and looking for fruits and roots. I need some food for rainy day.

I almost gave up while finding something edible in jungle, when I suddenly found bushes of yucca. Sweat! It has edible roots. I also can make some perfect ropes of it fiber. I’m not sure I need ropes, but I take all I could find.

After dinner, consisting of fish and yucca roots, I decided to take a walk. I have melancholic mood, so I gave up to thoughts and recognized myself only near the Stone Soph. It is unusual. I never went here in the evening.

Maybe I could try to find Soph and spend an hour with her.

Is it a good idea?

Choice 6:

a) No.

b) Yes.

Choice 6-a (Hiding way):

Don’t be silly, dude.

You’d better return to the camp and try to sleep. There is no extra energy in your case.

Yep, that’s right.

I return to the cabin and go to sleep.

I see dreams about Sophie. No, not THAT dreams. No nasty things. Just… just ordinary senseless stuff.

Choice 6-b:

Definitely. I hope she still in a good mood so we can talk about… Things.

OK, I don’t know, but I just want to see her again.

I slowly walk along the seashore. Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts… they fill my mind. I try to catch them, but they always go away. So, I give up and just count my steps.

Suddenly I see Sophie. She goes along the shore towards me. I wave at her.

Unbelievable… She waves at me!

I increase my speed and meet her within two or three minutes.

Sophie: Hey, cuz! Glad to see you again!

Me: Hi, Sophie! Me too! How are you?

Sophie: Perfect!

Me: Glad to hear that. How about a short walk?

Sophie: Why not? Let’s go.

We walk together along the seashore. It takes several moments to catch a comfortable silence, but, after that, both of us can enjoy the sundown.

Sophie: It’s so beautiful…

Me: Yes… And the dawn is even better.

Sophie: Really? You should show it to me then.

Me: Of course, Soph, of course.

The sun goes over the horizon and, after several minutes, darkness covers the island.

We look on the stars. They are so bright. So inviting.

Sophie: Look! The shooting star! Make a wish!

I see the meteor cross the sky. Fantastic!

Me: Done!

Sophie: And what did you wish?

Choice 7:

a) “I can’t tell it”

b) “Sandwich, glass of cola and piece of cake”

c) “Soap. A box of soap”

d) “Redemption”

Choice 7-a:

Me: I can’t tell it. You know, in that case it won’t come true.

Sophie: C’mon, cuz. Tell me!

Me: Nope.

Sophie: Please! And I will tell you what did I wish.

Me: …

Sophie: Please-please-please!

Me: Fine!

/back to the Choice 7 /

Choice 7-b:

Me: Well, let’s see. A sandwich, big cola, French fries and enormous piece of cake.

Sophie: Ha! You miss ordinary food so much, don’t you?

Me: Of course! After so many days… I miss sweats most of all.

Sophie: Well, when we will come back home, I’ll buy you a whole chocolate cake!

Me: When WE will come back home? Do you mean you want me to come home with you?

Sophie: Of course, cuz.

Me: Soph… thank you… But my place is here. This is my home. This is my prison. And I will stay here forever.

Sophie: But why?

Me: Soph, after that thing I’ve done… I’m a terrible person. I can’t go home. I… I just don’t deserve that.

Me: I will stay here until the end, memorizing of what I’ve done.

Me: This is a price of my deeds. This is my choice.

Sophie: Cuz…

She sobs.

Me: Forgive me, Soph.

Sophie: …

Sophie: I forgive you…

Choice 7-c:

Me: Soap. Lots of soap. The biggest bloody box of soap in the world.

Sophie: Huh, really?

Me: Of course. You just didn’t smell me after I spend all the day in jungle hunting bloody boars. I can’t breathe because of that stink.

Sophie: So I’m lucky, I guess.

Me: Indeed.

Sophie: Cuz, when we will come back home, you can spend a whole day in the bath.

Choice 7-d:

Me: You know what I desired for this years. Redemption. A chance to wash off my sin. I’ll take it despite of any price.

Sophie: I expected that… Cuz, I think it’s time for us to talk…

Me: Sophie… I’m so sorry. Every day in my thoughts I come back to that horrible night. I’m the worse person in the world. That thing I’ve done to you… Is unforgiveable… it’s terrible… If only I could change anything…

Me: I’d rather kill myself than make you any harm.

Me: I’m so sorry, Soph…

Sophie: …

Sophie: Cuz… I forgive you…

Sophie: Let’s… Let’s change a topic…

Me: OK.

After several minutes of awkward silence, we finally managed to make a perfect conversation. We chat for hour or so, when it becomes too late.

Me: Midnight is coming. I guess, it’s time to go to bed.

Sophie: Sure thing. See you later.

Me: Wait, what did you wish when you saw the shooting star?

Sophie: …Uh… I don’t think it’s a good idea…

Choice 8:

a) “Never mind”

b) “Tell me”

Choice 8-a (+0 Innocence):

Me: Eh, OK then. Good night, Sophie.

Sophie: Night-night, cuz!

I head to my home with peace in my heart.

Sophie forgave me.

I’m the happiest person in the world.

But… Can I forgive myself?

Choice 8-b (-1 Innocence):

Me: C’mon, Soph, that is not honest! I told you what I wished.

Sophie: Yes, you right… that is embarrassing, but…

Sophie: I wished not to be your cuz…

Me: What the hell?

Sophie: I… I want to be closer to you… You are… different… I… I just can’t help myself from thinking about you.

Sophie: Shit, that sounds… creepy…

I’d better not ask about her wish.

Me: Eh… kind of…

Me: I have to go. Good night, Sophie.

Sophie: Night, cuz…

I head to my home with mixed feelings.

I’m glad she forgave me, but in the same time… Her words about becoming closer… It’s… It hasn’t be that way…

I heard thing I didn’t want to hear.

It’s too complicated.

I feel wrong.

I wake up when the sun is high. Good morning. I’m late today.

I have smoked fish and a pint of fresh water for breakfast and go to the Stone Sophie. There she is, still looking at the sea.

I cut my writings on the plank.

“For you, I have to risk it all
Cause the writings on the wall.”

I don’t know why I remembered that song…

Anyway, time to hunt!

I have my bow, spear and knife with me, so I just go into the forest in order to check my traps near the trail first.

First and second traps are empty, but, when I to check the third, I hear oinking. Good sign.

Wait…

Through the leafage leafs and branches I see Sophie. She stands near my hunting pit and looks inside it.

/only if you are on Hiding way /

Well…

It’s time to decide. Will I come and face her? Am I ready? Do I want to do it?

It is now or never.

Choice 5.0:

a) Go away.

b) Come and face her.

Choice 5.0-a (Hiding way):

No…

I can’t do it…

And I won’t ever be able to face her…

I turn around and go away.

Couple of weeks pass since that day. I still avoid Sophie. I became her shadow. I know she tries to find me, but I never could to pluck up courage and face her. Even when Soph wrote: “I forgive you” on the plank near statue.

One day I see a ship on the horizon and quickly make a strong smoke signal. They noticed us. Sophie is saved.

So here we are.

Sophie stands on the beach, looking on the boat, which heads to her. I hide in the jungle not so far, looking at the Soph. She turns around. I can see tears on her face.

Sophie: Cuz! Cuz!

I don’t answer.

Sophie: I will come back for you! I promise!

Boat reaches the shore.

Sophie: Farewell, cuz…

I whisper.

Me: Farewell, Sophie.

When the boat picks her up and leave the island, she still looking on the beach.

For several moments, I come out the jungle and wave at her. She notices me. And waves back.

Me: Farewell, Sophie.

I head back into the jungle before anyone else can notice me.

/Secret ending/

Choice 5.0-b:

I come closer.

Me: Good morning, Soph!

Sophie: Hi, cuz! Good morning!

Me: What a day! Perfect for hunting, isn’t it?

Sophie: Of course! And you are already got lucky! Look!

I look into the pit and see big angry boar inside.

Me: Sweet! It seems it weighs 80 kilos!

Sophie: I saw it and thought you could need my help with it.

Me: You are so kind, cuz. I really can’t deal with it by myself.

Sophie: That is for what cousins are! So, what do we do first?

Me: We should kill it. Just enjoy the show!

I take my bow and spend couple of arrows to hit the boars’ eye. Voila!

Sophie: Hey, nice shot!

Me: Come on, he was just in meter away from me.

I find the long thick stick and put it over the pit. Then I jump into the pit and tie the boars’ legs to the stick.

Me: Are you ready for voyage?

Sophie: Sure thing!

Me: Well, take an end of the stick. I’ll lead the way.

The road to my camp takes two hours, including several breaks. That boar was too heavy for Soph even if I stood closer to the boar’s beef and carried the bigger part of the weight.

Finally, outer woods and my camp.

Me: Home, sweet home!

We come to the fireplace and put the boar down. Sophie looks exhausted.

Sophie: Phew… finally… So this is the place where you live…

Me: Yep.

Sophie: Looks nice.

Me: Thank you.

Me: You can take a rest, if you want. I don’t need your help right now.

Sophie: Thanks, cuz.

I quickly go to the shore and plunge into the water. Oh, nice. So pleasant to wash away all this sweat. But I have some work to do. Let’s not dally!

Sophie is swimming some away from me. I wave at her and go back to the fireplace.

I supply some more firewood from the nearest jungle and make a fire. Then, I carefully skin the boar. It’s boring and hard work, especially if the prey is such big. I spend more than half an hour while skinning it.

Then, I carefully open up it’s belly and cut out liver, kidneys and heart. They are also tasty. I fry offal and we eat it at the lunch. Taste good.

Next several hours I spend smoking the meat. Sophie offers her help several times, but I don’t really need it. Only one thing we do together – remove boar’s skeleton from my camp to the jungle. I don’t want to smell stink next couple of weeks.

Sophie: Hey, cuz, this is not honest! You work all the day and don’t let me to do anything!

Me: Sorry, Soph, but I really don’t need your help. You can take the day easy.

Sophie: No way! I’m going to cook the dinner, and you aren’t allowed to help me.

Sophie: Take a rest, cuz. You deserve it.

Me: Well… Thank you, Sophie.

She gives me a crooked smile.

Sophie: You are welcome.

Sophie: At last, go away at let me make a dinner!

I shake my shoulders and go to the shore. It’s time to wash myself.

I take off my vest and short’s and go into the water. I notice that Sophie looks at me. Is she going to spy after me?

No, I don’t think so. At least, I’m not naked. Well, I’ll better spend time swimming.

I swim until it gets dark. What a beautiful evening… night sky, the Moon and stars are amazing. I look at them for several minutes, before I go to the shore and get dressed.

Sophie: Hey, cuz! Diner is ready!

Me: I’m coming!

I return to the fireplace, where Sophie gives me a plate full of meat and roast yucca. She looks very proud of herself.

Sophie: Here you are! Bon appetite!

Me: Thanks.

I carefully try the meat. It tastes awesome.

Me: Wow, Soph. The meat is amazing! You are perfect chef!

Sophie gives me a thankful smile.

Sophie: Thank you, cuz. I had culinary courses year ago.

We finish our dinner in silence. After finishing the full plate of meat and yucca in 5 minutes, I decide to recline on the log near the fire and enjoy the stars.

Sophie: After such feast, I hardly can believe we used to starve here three years ago.

Me: Well, we were not so skillful hunters, so, I guess, there is no wonder in it.

Sophie: Maybe you right.

I see she hesitates to say something to me.

Me: Hey, cuz, what’s up?

Sophie: Ehm… I kind of stolen your panpipe near the statue. You forget it, and I took it in order to give it back, but I forgot…

Me: Never mind… I didn’t recall it even a single time all these days.

Sophie: Any way… sorry for that. Here you are, I took it with me today.

She pass me my panpipe, which I made of reed several months ago. It’s my second one, I broke my first by the case.

Sophie: Cuz… could you play anything for me?

Me: Sure. Why not?

I take a comfortable seat and start playing a beautiful sad melody. I created it by myself, because I never was interested in music before I got stranded on this island, so I didn’t seen any notes for any popular melody.

I had to create all my tunes by myself.

After half a year of playing the panpipe, I succeed in it. Melody, which I am playing at the moment, is my best. I played it for the Stone Sophie.

And now I play it for the real Sophie.

What a moment!

Tune is ending. I extract the last trill and let it to the silence.

Sophie: This… This was wonderful…

I recognize that she moved up to me hardly. Only now I notice that I can feel her by my left arm.

Sophie: You are a wizard…

She leans to me. Her face is just in front of mine.

Sophie: Man…

She moves to me. She is closer.

What happening?

Sophie: You…

Closer…

Is she going to kiss me?

Sophie: … are…

Even closer…

Do I want her to kiss me?

Sophie: … awesome…

I can feel her breath on my face.

If I want to do anything, it’s now or never.

Final choice:

a) Stop her.

b) Pull back.

c) Don’t resist her.

Choice A (+1 Innocence):

I gently stop her, laying my arms on her shoulders.

Me: Soph… what are you doing?

My voice is deep and sad.

She slightly pulls back, looks into my eye and whispers.

Sophie: Cuz… I… I feel attraction to you…

Sophie: I…

Sophie: I want you…

Sophie: Here and now…

Me: But… after everything what happened… What…

Sophie: I don’t care.

/to the “Are you sure? ” choice /

Choice B (+0 Innocence):

I slightly pull back, and Sophie stops.

Me: Soph… I don’t think it’s a good idea.

She slightly pulls back, looks into my eye and whispers.

Sophie: Cuz… I… I feel attraction to you…

Sophie: I…

Sophie: I want you…

Sophie: Here and now…

Me: After what happened… I don’t feel it will be right thing.

Sophie: I don’t care.

/to the “Are you sure? ” choice /

“Are you sure? ” choice:

a) Refuse.

b) Go for it.

“Are you sure? ” choice-a:

Me: Sophie… I can’t do that… I just can’t…

I stand up and make a several steps away…

Me: All this time I was full of regrets for the mistake I’ve done…

Me: You are my cousin… you are my kin…

Me: Maybe it’s too later to consider it…

Sophie: Cuz…

Me: I’m sorry… I can’t do this…

/Ending #1/

“Are you sure? ” choice-b:

Me: I don’t care too.

/to the Final choice-c /

Choice C (-1 Innocence):

She kiss me.

Gently at first, ardently and furious in the end.

Me: Soph…

Sophie: Cuz…

/Well, I think you could write a sex scene by your own. I’m not too good in that things/

We both fall asleep…

I wake up at the midnight. What a weird dream…

Stop. That wasn’t a dream.

I fucked Sophie. Again…

Shit…

Sophie lies next to me. She is in a deep sleep.

I carefully come out the shelter and go to the shore.

I look at the sea and try to understand what happened.

I fucked Sophie. One more time.

Did she want it?

Yes.

Did I want it?

I’d rather not answer.

Why does it seems so wrong?

I feel like a betrayer.

Can I forgive myself?

/ Moment of truth. We should check our Innocence. If it’s 0 or higher, we have Good Final, if lower – we have Bad Final /
