Belarus Open Cup 9-Ball

Dear Friends of Sport,

The Belarusian Association of Billiard Sports invites you to participate in a pool tournament «Belarus Open Cup 9-Ball 2016».

The aim of the tournament is to promote pool, increase players’s skills in pool and develop closer relationships between pool players and federations.

Venue: Billiard club «Start» (13 pool tables).

Address: Kalinovskogo str., 66-A, Minsk, Belarus (near underground station «Vostok»).

Tournament schedule:

16 September 2016 18: 00 personal registration and draw

17 September 2016 9: 00 Practice time start

10: 00 Opening Ceremony

10: 15 Start of matches

18 September 2016 10: 00 Quater finals

11: 30 Semi finals

13: 00 Final

14: 30 Award ceremony

Discipline: 9-ball

Distance: women race to 6 and men race to 7. Play-off stage race +1.

Dress code:

• A shirt with a collar (polo shirt) with short or long sleeves. It is not allowed to wear the shirt outside of the trousers.

• One colored trousers, preferrably black. No jeans look alike.

• Black shoes.

• Clothing must be neat and tidy.

Tournament regulations:

• In men division the qualifying stages chart consists of the winners and losers side. In case there are more than 64 participants then the last 32 play knock out stages. In case there are less than 64 participants then the last 16 play knock out stages.

• In women division the qualifying stages chart consists of the winners and losers side. In case there are more than 16 participants then the last 8 play knock out stages. In case there are less than 16 participants then the last 4 play knock out stages.

• Break: All matches alternative break.

· All participants must announce participation by registering on website: https://tournamentservice.net/tournament.php? t_id=15560 or sending e-mail to fefilau@mail.ru not later than 15th of September 2016, 15: 00.

· The draw is made 16th of September, 2016 and published within the same day on webiste https://tournamentservice.net/tournament.php? t_id=15560

· The participants must pay an entry fee in amount of 40 rubles (men division) and 30 rubles (women division) during personal registration.

· Time-out 5 minutes can be taken by the player on his own break. In case the time out is for some reason taken at opponent’s break then the opponent will be added one won rack, i.e. in case the score is 3: 2 then the score will be 3: 3.

· No exceptions are made unless with the agreement of the head referee. All the disputes between participants are resolved by head referee.

Prize fund: 80% of all received entry fees.

The winner – 40% + trophy and medal.
The runner up – 20% + medal.
3d-4th place – 10% + medal.
5th-8th place – 5%.

Prize money will be paid during award ceremony only.

Visa support:

Tournament organizer is ready to provide an invitation letter if you require a visa to travel to Belarus. Please provide the following details as soon as possible to get an invitation letter: player’s full name, date of birth, passport number, passport issue and expiry dates. Please send this information as soon as possible in оrder to prepare the invitation.
