Rovincia di Sondrio CARIPLO C.C.I.A.A. di Sondrio
Sondrio lies at the foot of the Italian Alps and is a major capital in the Lombardy region. Every year the city organizes a cinematographic presentation of documentary films fro all over the world. This festival aims at increasing the awareness of the world's cultural heritage whilst highlighting the role of the documentary as messenger of the various crucial aspects of these issues. The festival enables us to gather the representatives from all over the world in an effort to devise ways of drawing the attention of the public and private enterprise to the importance of a balanced relationship between people. The Film Festival should not however be regarded as an isolated event but rather as an integral part of the activities of the Documentation Centre. The City of Sondrio is proud to be able to play its part in cultural development for coming generations.
